The Saladworks franchise by 38th and Spruce St has gotten increasingly worse each year as it's passed between owner to owner.
The store was closed for months and months. We visited when they reopened only to find that the food quality and service had taken a turn for the worse.
The owner now does an aweful job of tending the register. She holds up the whole line and sometimes disappears in the middle of one's order to tend to paperwork. The salad builders themselves do an excellent job but are no doubt stifled by management instruction to keep the salads small. They do a great job but their product ends up sitting at the register while the owner (?) fumbles w/ the register.
The portions have steadily decreased in size each time we visit. A trip to SW once meant huge portions. This is no longer true.
Personally, I feel as if the blue cheese dressing no longer tastes like blue cheese. It is very watery.
In conclusion, the service (register) sucks. The portions are too small to warrant the pricetag. I would eat there a few times a week if this were not the case.
